Commercial Reflection!!
Today I am feeling good because I have finished and submitted by commercial!! After weeks of procrastinating, it feels a lot better that I completed this Commercial. Even though I'm done, there are things I could have done differently. One thing that I should have added is captions. I think this could have added context and given me a chance to describe all my photos. Some text would have been nice to break up all the visuals. Another thing I could have included is the credit for the song. I used a Taylor Swift song, and I should have put a caption or something to give recognition since it was on the instructions.
Navigating this new Technology of video editing was slightly difficulty and frustrating. Before this project, I wasn’t really sure how to produce a commercial like this. At first, I wasn’t really sure what I was doing. I used iMovie at first, but it wasn't very user friendly since it is meant for real movie trailers. If anything, iMovie just confused me more but thankfully I had other editing software in mind that would have been easier. Like Capcut, which in my opinion was so much better than iMovie. In addition to the editing process, I learned how to upload my commercial to YouTube. I have never uploaded anything to YouTube, so I wasn’t that familiar. When I first posted it, it was private so only I could see it on my blog. Thankfully I realized from looking at my blog on a different device, and I was able to put it on public. Hopefully, I'll be able to use video editing this skill for future projects. Overall, I really liked this commercial. It was a nice way to revisit old photos and make a nice presentation.
