I am so happy I am a bit more than halfway done with my commercial! After spending most of my weekend editing, I think I can say that it is looking good so far. I started with the younger photos of me that I chose since I still want to do it in chronological order. Capcut was simple to use and it prompted most of the inserting. I had all my photos and videos picked out, which helped too. I also finally picked my second song after a long debate. I picked Never Grow Up by Taylor Swift from her album Speak Now. I did have a problem because this song alone is 5 minutes! So, I probably will have to remove the other song. I don’t think it will be that much of a problem since the rubric said one song is fine. I picked this song because I think it will match my commercial well. It matches the theme of me showing photos in chronological order of growing up. The beat of the song starts slow, then gradually picks up at the climax which I think will have a nice flow with the images and video.

So, starting with the youngest photo of me, I put it in the beginning. I had to transfer all my photos from my phone to my computer since capcut is really meant for computers. It was a bit tricky to get the beginning of the song to line up with my first photo. The song starts off with a small ten second build-up up and I did not want to put my photo with no audio. I am not the best with computers but after a bit it synced up fine. After I put the first photo and added a couple more. I wanted to put a few photos before the video so it would blend well. Overall, I'm relieved that I am coming near the end of this commercial. I can't wait to see it finally finished. I'm hoping I can finish my commercial by the end of the week, but I'll keep you guys updated!!
