Intro Blog

  

    Hi blog readers, my name is Sasha Edwards. I am 16 years old and I am a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. I live in Hollywood, Florida with my parents and I have an older sister who goes to the University of Florida, which is where I hope to go as well.  I have two cats and one dog who I adore. During my free time, I love to read, cook, sleep, and hang out with my friends. Here at school, I am a member of the  FLHS Debate team and it is my favorite extracurricular. I have been doing it since seventh grade and have loved it since. It has really helped me overcome my fear of public speaking.

    One thing about me is that I love to travel. I recently went to France over the summer to visit my family. My mom was born there so all of her side of the family lives there. I stayed with my aunt who lives an hour north of Paris. I hadn't been back in years so it was so nice to see my family and I even meet my second cousins, who were just born! This photo below was taken on the Seine facing the Eiffel Tower. It was definitely the highlight of my trip.

    I also really enjoy movies and tv shows which is the main reason I took media studies. I love watching rom-coms, drama, and thriller movies. I'm interested in learning about film production and everything that goes on off screen to make a production possible. For this class, I hope to grasp a better understating about the world of film/media. I hope my interest will last because it is something I would consider studying.
