Group blog

We have finally finished our music video and now I can’t wait to do this final task! For my group, I am working with my friend Milana again since we had so much fun making the music video. I am also working with two other friends, Sarah and Alex.  The music video was fun but I'm excited to be more creative and work with someone else and share our creative ideas more specifically with filmmaking. This music video has a lot of requirements, so I need to make sure I take my time on this. This task is 50% of our AICE Exam so it is very important. The opening sequence must be no longer than 2 minutes. Which we have done before so it is not impossible! We have to blog about our pitch so stay tuned for that next blog. I didn't know what that was before, but it is a Hollywood term used to describe a film in 25 words or less. After, we have to narrow down to two pitches to come up with and explain them.

Once there is a pitch decided on, this is where we learn about genres and decide which direction we want to take the movie in. This is where we learn about the different kinds and watch movies highlighting this. Also, the movements, mis-en-scene, editing, and sound are important too. The opening has to tell a story, so I want to make it meaningful and have an impact. I have to make sure that the lighting is good, and the transitions are clean. Everything has to be cohesive and imitate a real movie, but just the beginning.  In addition to the other requirements, the opening scene always has to include filming techniques. I might want to include some Dutch clips because I really like the effects. I'm excited for the mis-en-scene aspect and really be creative with it since this is more acting. I’m excited to work with different costumes and props to help solidify the movie's impact. Overall, I am thrilled to work on the music video with this new group! Stay tuned for more info about this project:)
