Filming Blog

Hi blog,

We have finally started filming on today! Finally, after weeks of deciding when we can find a day that works for us, we stuck to it. After school, we all went to Alex’s house since it was the closest to the school. I made sure to remember to bring all the props since we needed them for these scenes. We were able to film at least half of the project until it got dark but then we had to stop. All the scenes of the girls leaving for the trip were filmed. Filming at night was a challenge since we were using our iPhone and the quality in the dark was very blurry.  Also, in the opening scene it was supposed to be morning when the girls left for the trip. We didn’t want to leave her place at night to go to the gas station, since that is not the safest. So, we decided to call it a day and head home.

The filming process went well for the most part. Already having the storyboard completed made this part of the filming process much easier. It made everything simple, and we simply just followed it. The only problem we had was a slight lack of dialogue. Since the storyboard is not able to include much dialogue there were points where we had no lines, but we had to come up with something.  This is where we had to improve for the lines we did not have. This was not much of a problem; it just took a little longer. For filming, we just used our iPhone since that is all we have access to too. The quality was still fine, and it makes it easier to send the clips since we can text them. The first part of the filming is over and all we have to do is the other half. We are planning on meeting again tomorrow so we can finish the rest of the filming. I’ll keep you guys updated until then!
